Equipment Needed:

  • 6 Three-way connectors
  • 3 Four-way connectors (Spray painted yellow)
  • 12 Long Poles
  • 6 Short Poles
  • 6 Rope lashes
  • 6 Grommeted ground rods
  • 1 Tarp
  • Many Bungie Cables

Step 1: Gather the 6 Three-way connectors and the 3 Four-way connectors.  Lay the 3 Four-way connector in a line spaced apart where the middle of the tent will be.  3 of the three-way connectors will then be laid in a line spaced apart on the right of the and the other 3 three-way connectors on the left.  The three-way connectors form the outside edges of the tents.
Step 2: Lay the 12 long poles out in between all of the three-way and four-way connectors.  When all laid out on the ground the poles will look like four large connected squares.
Step 3: Put together one side of the tent.  You’ll connect the long poles into 4 of the three-way connectors and 2 of the four-way connectors.
Step 4: Raise up the side that has the connectors that angle downward.  This is forming the peak of the tent. Put the long tent poles that were laid out into the remaining open spot into these four-way connectors.
Step 5: Finish the other lower side of the tent with the remaining three-way connectors and long poles.  One completed you will have the frame of the roof of the tent completed.
Step 6: Drag the tarp over the frame to form the roof.  There will be a yellow zip tie on the side of the tarp that goes to the side of the tent.
Step 7: Use bungies on the corners of the tarp and wrap them around the long poles of the frame.  Do the corners first to stretch the tarp out.  Then continue to fill in around the sides with more bungies until all the grommets on the tarp are filled.
Step 8: Raise up one side of the tent and use 3 of the short poles to make the legs of the tent.  Then go to the other side of the tent and raise it up to make the tent stand up completely.
Step 9: The 6 grommeted ground rods will be place into the blacktop in the places the tent will be place. Raise the tent up and place the shorter tent pole over top the grommeted ground rods.
Step 10: Use the 6 rope lashes to connect to the grommet of the grommeted ground rods and then wrap around the longer tent poles above it.
